This is an actual surviving original old Bollywood poster of the 1972 mythological Hindi film produced and directed by Chandrakant that featured B. Saroja Devi, Randhawa, Satyajeet Puri (Master Satyajit), Mehmood Junior, Jayshree Gadkar and Dara Singh in key roles.

Released under the Joy Films’ banner, Hari Darshan (1972) also starred Sujata, Sanjana, Kalpana Diwan, Sadhana Khote, Sarla Dund, Anwari Bai, Rekha Chauhan, Abhi Bhattacharya, Shahu Modak, Asit Sen, Babu Raje, Hercules, Shree Bhagwan, Ram Mohan, Dilip Dutt, Radhe Shyam, Baby Rupa, Ali Akbar, Salim, Sunil, Dinanath, Dalpat and Waseem in supporting roles.

A Hindu mythology movie, the story of Hari Darshan (1972) was based on Bhakt Prahlad i.e. devotee Prahlad and his faith in lord Vishnu.

This two sheet poster measures approximately 60″x40″ inches in size when its two individual sheets are joined or pasted together. The poster comprises two separate single sheets, each measuring approximately 40″x30″ inches in size.

Printed and circulated somewhere in the late 1970s, this beautiful hand drawn Bollywood movie poster was printed for publicity of the re-release of the film but never ended up being used.

This old hand painted Bollywood poster was originally designed on a hand drawn canvas by a small time art studio, making it highly collectible.

Devotee Prahlad is seen at the bottom of this two sheet poster in a pot of boiling oil. Lord Vishnu, his savior is seen predominantly in the poster.

Two sheet posters comprise two separate individual single sheet posters measuring 40″x30″ inches each. When pasted together they line up perfectly and together form one single two sheet poster. In the image shown alongside, there may be a slight gap visible between the two – as the images of the top and bottom half have been photographed individually and then joined together digitally. When framed or pasted, there will be no gap visible between the two sheets and the appearance of the poster would be seamless – i.e. just like a single sheet poster.

The soundtrack album of Hari Darshan (1972) was composed by noted music composer duo Kalyanji-Anandji. It featured memorable devotional songs such as “Jai Jai Narayan” sung by Mahendra Kapoor & Lata Mangeshkar and “Karo Hari Darshan” sung by Mahendra Kapoor, which are fondly played in religious festivals till today.
