Featured here is an original Bollywood poster of the 2024 re-release of the blockbuster 2011 Hindi film directed by Rohit Shetty that starred Ajay Devgn in the titular role of inspector Bajirao Singham.
Produced by Reliance Entertainment, Singham (2011) also starred Kajal Aggarwal, Prakash Raj, Sudhanshu Pandey, Sonali Kulkarni, Sachin Khedekar, Govind Namdev, Meghna Vaidya, Ashok Saraf, Murali Sharma, Ashok Samarth, Anant Jog and Ravindra Berde in supporting roles, while Akshay Kumar made a special appearance in the film.
A remake of the 2010 Tamil film of the same name, Singham (2011) told the story of honest and upright police inspector Bajirao Singham (Ajay Devgn) who fights against a corrupt system that is shielding politician cum mafia boss Jaikant Shikre (Prakash Raj).
The film was a blockbuster upon release and has amassed a cult following over the years. It’s success led to a three part franchise that included Singham Returns (2014) and Singham Again (2024).
On 18th October 2024, Singham was re-released in theaters.
Printed and circulated for this re-release run of the film (somewhere in 2024), this Singham poster was originally designed for publicity but never ended up being used.
This original Bollywood poster features a stunning full length still photo of superstar Ajay Devgn holding out the palm of his hand in a menacing pose, representing the long arm of the law.
The background features an out of focus drawing of a lion’s face against red and yellow hues. Typography used in this Ajay Devgan poster is entirely in English, with the title appearing in a metallic font at the bottom. The re-release date of the film is mentioned below, along with the message “Re-Releasing In Cinemas.”
The soundtrack album of Singham (2011) was composed by duo Ajay–Atul, while lyrics were written by Swanand Kirkire. It featured the blockbuster title track “Singham” sung by Sukhwinder Singh, which has become synonymous with superstar Ajay Devgn.
