A sequel to King Kong (1976), King Kong Lives (1986) was the last and final film in which King Kong was portrayed using an actor wearing a bodysuit (Peter Elliott). Subsequent films in the King Kong franchise would go on to use computer animation to portray the monster.

This King Kong original movie poster marks the end of traditional film making techniques used in monster movies and a radical shift towards animation and computer generated special effects, making it highly collectible!

Printed and circulated in India during the local release run of the film (somewhere in the late 1980s), this King Kong Lives poster was originally designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.
