Rajesh Khanna movie poster of the super hit old Bollywood film, Aan Milo Sajna (1970) for sale.

This is an actual surviving old Bollywood poster of the 1970 film that featured Rajesh Khanna, widely known as the original (first) superstar of Indian cinema, in the lead role opposite Asha Parekh.

Printed and circulated a few years subsequent to the debut release of the film (somewhere in the 1970s), this hand drawn artwork movie poster was originally designed for publicity of the film’s local release in Delhi but never ended up being used.

This old Hindi movie poster was originally designed on a hand painted canvas in slightly larger than the usual half sheet size. It measures 36″x24″ inches, making this rare vintage print very collectible.

This Rajesh Khanna poster features a brilliant hand painted portrait of actress Asha Parekh dressed in an evening gown with a plunging neckline. Her hair is tied into a stylish bun, which made her a fashion icon at the time of the film’s release. Superstar Rajesh Khanna is seen on her lap. The poster is minimalist, set against a blue background. The hand drawn faces, although quirky in their design (which is typical of old school Bollywood poster painters and art studios in Delhi), capture the romance between the two actors very well. Typography used in this poster is English as well as a translation in Devanagari Hindi.

Aan Milo Sajna was a musical romance written by Sachin Bhowmick and directed by Mukul Dutt. The film’s supporting cast included Vinod Khanna, Rajendra Nath, Nirupa Roy and Junior Mehmood.

The music of the film was composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal and lyrics were penned by Anand Bakshi. The film was declared a super hit at the box office and the song “Acha to Hum Chalte Hain” became a rage throughout the nation, fondly remembered and played till today.

Aan Milo Sajna is counted among the 17 consecutive hit films of Rajesh Khanna between 1969 and 1971.

Featured here for sale is a reissue poster of the 1975 action Hindi film directed by Yash Chopra that starred the biggest superstar of Indian cinema, Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role.

Deewaar (sometimes also spelled as Deewar) is considered one of the most iconic movies ever made in Indian cinema and finds mention among the cult films of Bollywood.

Printed and circulated during a very recent screening of the old Amitabh movie (somewhere in 2019), this Deewaar movie poster was originally designed for publicity of a local re-release of the film but never ended up being used.

The title appears in Devanagari Hindi in a large green font at the bottom of this Deewaar movie poster. The angry young man of Bollywood, superstar Amitabh Bachchan is seen in his legendary pose with his hands on his waist at the center of this Deewaar poster. Deewaar (The Wall), is a cult 1975 Hindi film directed by Yash Chopra and written by Salim-Javed. Starring the greatest superstar of Indian cinema Amitabh Bachchan, Deewaar tells the story of two impoverished brothers (played by Amitabh Bachchan and Shashi Kapoor) who struggle to survive on the indifferent streets of Mumbai after the passing away of their father.

One of them, Shashi Kapoor chooses the path of good, becoming a police officer. Amitabh on the other hand turns into a mafia don and amasses quick wealth and success. This creates an obvious divide or enmity between them, inspiring the title of the film. Deewaar is believed to be based loosely on the real life of one of Mumbai’s iconic gangsters, Haji Mastan. For preparation of his character as a gangster in the film, it is further believed that Amitabh Bachchan met Haji Mastan in person to study his mannerisms.

Deewaar is widely credited for establishing Amitabh Bachchan as the “angry young man” of Bollywood. Actress Parveen Babi was seen as the new age woman in Indian cinema, whose character appears as a liberated woman smoking and drinking, living-in with her lover – defying all traditional norms of the time. The brilliant storyline and dialogues of the film established Salim-Javed as the most sought after writers in Indian cinema. It is believed they were paid as high as actors in subsequent films they worked on, thanks to the success of Deewaar.

Deewaar bagged numerous awards, and is credited as a must see film in Indian cinema. The music of the film was composed by RD Burman. The track “Keh Doon Tumhe” was a chartbuster and is fondly remembered and played till today.

One of the dialogues from the film, “Mere Paas Maa Hai” is regarded as one of the greatest dialogues ever in Indian cinema and has inspired countless spoofs over the years.

Danny Boyle, who described Deewaar as being “absolutely key to Indian cinema”, cited the film as an influence on his Academy Award winning Slumdog Millionaire (2008).

Amar Akbar Anthony was ahead of its time, in that it was one of the first Indian films to exploit Bollywood merchandising to generate both revenues as well as publicity. For the film’s marketing, numerous Bollywood merchandise items were produced such as erasers for students featuring pictures of Amitabh Bachchan, Vinod Khanna and Rishi Kapoor. Iconic Aamir Khan film poster of the cult Hindi movie, PK (2014) for sale.

This is an actual surviving original PK Hindi movie poster of the blockbuster 2014 comedy drama written and directed by Rajkumar Hirani that starred Aamir Khan, Anushka Sharma, Sushant Singh Rajput, Boman Irani, Saurabh Shukla and Sanjay Dutt in prominent roles.

PK is based on the story of an alien (played by superstar Aamir Khan) who comes to Earth on a research mission. The film bagged numerous awards, most notably two Filmfare Awards and two Screen Awards. The film also won the Telstra People’s Choice Award at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne.

PK was the first Indian film to gross over $100 million worldwide and $10 million in North America (US and Canada). Shortly after its debut in theaters, PK became the highest-grossing Indian film of all time in both domestic as well as international markets, making this Aamir Khan PK poster, highly collectible.

Printed and circulated before the original first release of the film in 2014, this PK  movie poster was printed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.

In July 2014 subsequent to its printing and distribution, this Aamir Khan PK poster sparked a controversy in the country as it featured the superstar posing almost nude with only a vintage radio covering his modesty. Although the Central Board of Film Certification had cleared the film, a PIL was filed in the court to ban its release citing nudity and vulgarity. The Supreme Court of India subsequently dismissed the plea and gave the film a green signal. The vintage radio cassette player image became instantly popular, earning the moniker of “PK radio.”

Superstar Aamir Khan is seen posing nude in this controversial PK film poster. He is seen standing in the middle of a railway track against a blue sky background. The iconic vintage PK radio pic is seen in this Aamir Khan film poster. The release date of the film, i.e. 19th December is seen advertised on the bottom right hand corner. The title of the film appears almost like a logo on the top right hand corner of this PK movie poster.

Unlike regular single-sided posters that have printing only on the front side (with a blank white backside), this Aamir Khan film poster is double-side printed on thick glossy paper.

Ajay Devgan movie poster of the cult Hindi film Omkara (2006) for sale.

This is an actual surviving Ajay Devgan film poster of the 2006 Hindi movie directed by Vishal Bhardwaj that starred Ajay Devgn in the lead role as Omkara ‘Omi’ Shukla. Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Vivek Oberoi, Konkona Sen Sharma and Bipasha Basu played supporting roles in the film.

Adapted from Shakespeare’s Othello, Omkara was a massive success overseas. The film quickly entered the UK’s Top Ten. Ajay Devgn’s performance was considered to be the finest of his career and Saif Ali Khan’s depiction of “Langda Tyagi” received unanimous critical acclaim. Konkana Sen Sharma won a National Award for her performance as Indu Tyagi in the film.

Omkara won three National Film Awards and seven Filmfare Awards in total. Internationally, the film won three awards at the Kara Film Festival and an award at the Asian Festival of First Films. Omkara was showcased in the Marché du Film section at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival along with a book on the making of the film. It was also screened at the Cairo International Film Festival, where Vishal Bhardwaj was awarded for Best Artistic Contribution in Cinema of a Director, making this Ajay Devgan movie poster, highly collectible!

Printed and circulated on 7th January, 2006, a full seven months before the first release of the movie, this Ajay Devgan film poster was originally designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.

The sizes of the faces almost seem to be directly proportional to their screen time in the film. A washed out and rustic background is seen in this Ajay Devgan movie poster.

The title of the film appears in a very stylized Devanagari Hindi font in this Omkara poster. A line at the bottom of this Saif Ali Khan movie poster reads, “Based on Shakespeare’s Othello.”

The soundtrack of Omkara was composed by Vishal Bhardwaj and the lyrics were penned by Gulzar. Upon its release, the film’s music became a rage throughout the nation. Songs from the film, most notably “Beedi Jalaile” sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and “Namak Ishq Ka” sung by Rekha Bhardwaj are played till today as well as watched on video for Bipasha Basu’s iconic dance moves. “Naina Thag Lenge” sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and the title track “Omkara” sung by Sukhwinder Singh are fondly remembered as well.

The track “Beedi Jalaile” was used as the theme song of a Brazilian TV soap opera called Caminho das Índias. Following the release and popularity of the soap, “Beedi” was played on pop radio stations all over Brazil, becoming the first song sung completely in Hindi to achieve this feat.

Chennai Express was the first collaboration between director Rohit Shetty and the “King of Bollywood romance” Shah Rukh Khan.

The title of the film appears in a very stylized English font. A line at the bottom of this Shah Rukh Khan film poster in English reads, “Releasing This Eid … Ready Steady Po!”

The soundtrack of Chennai Express, composed by Vishal–Shekhar, became a rage throughout the nation during its release.
