Featured here is an actual surviving original first release poster of the 1973 Bollywood thriller directed by Vijay Anand that starred Dharmendra and Raakhee in lead roles.

Printed and circulated somewhere in the early 1970s during the original first release run of the film, this vintage Bollywood poster was designed and printed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.

This Blackmail movie poster was originally designed in hand painted oil on canvas format by Bollywood’s greatest and highest paid movie poster artist, Diwakar Karkare. His printed signature is seen on the bottom right hand corner of this rare Bollywood poster.

Lead couple Dharmendra and Raakhee are seen in a brilliant hand painted rendition. The soundtrack album of Black Mail (1973) was composed by noted duo Kalyanji-Anandji. One of the songs from the film, “Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas” sung by Kishore Kumar became a rage throughout the nation at the time of the album’s release. It is fondly remembered and played till today and considered as one of the finest songs sung by Bollywood’s legendary playback singer Kishore Kumar.
