This is an actual surviving original Bollywood movie poster of the 2011 romantic comedy directed by debutant Rohit Dhawan, son of director David Dhawan. The film starred Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Chitrangada Singh, Anupam Kher, Omi Vaidya and Mohnish Bahl. Sanjay Dutt also made a cameo appearance in the film.

Desi Boyz was reportedly inspired by true stories of Indian students being duped by various universities in the West such as Tri Valley University, Herguan University, London Metropolitan University and University of Navarra. The film bears similarities with several Adam Sandler movies like Reign Over Me, Billy Madison and Big Daddy.

Printed and circulated during the debut of the film in theaters (somewhere in 2011), this Desi Boyz poster was designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.

The two lead stars, Akshay Kumar and John Abraham are seen in boxer shorts prominently in this Bollywood poster. The two appear screaming. The title of the movie appears in a stunning font in this Desi Boyz poster.

The soundtrack album of Desi Boyz was composed by Pritam Chakraborty and became a rage throughout the nation at the time of the film’s release. Songs like “Tu Mera Hero (Subha Hone Na De)” and “Make Some Noise For The Desi Boyz” are fondly remembered and played till date.

A sequel of the film titled Desi Boyz 2 is expected to be released in 2023.
