Featured here is an original Bollywood poster of the blockbuster 2000 Hindi film directed by Dharmesh Darshan that starred Akshay Kumar, Shilpa Shetty, Suniel Shetty and Mahima Chaudhry in key roles.

An adaptation of the novel Wuthering Heights (1847), Dhadkan (2000) also starred Sushma Seth, Parmeet Sethi, Manjeet Kullar, Kiran Kumar, Sharmila Tagore, Anupam Kher, Kader Khan and Navneet Nishan in supporting roles.

Printed and circulated during the initial release run of the film in theaters, this Dhadkan movie poster was originally designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.

At the 46th Filmfare Awards, Dhadkan bagged Best Villain (Suniel Shetty) and Best Female Playback Singer (Alka Yagnik for “Dil Ne Yeh Kaha Hai Dil Se”), making this Shilpa Shetty poster, highly collectible!

Dhadkan (2000) featured the cult Sunil Shetty dialogue, “Anjali Main Tumhe Bhool Jau Yeh Ho Nahin Sakta, Aur Tum Mujhe Bhool Jao, Yeh Main Hone Nahi Doonga (English translation: Anjali Me Forgetting You Is Not Possible, And You Forgetting Me Is Something I Won’t Allow).”

Akshay Kumar and Shilpa Shetty are seen in a romantic still photo below, while a large close up of actor Suniel Shetty is seen on the top. The right portion of his face is seen disappearing into the fiery sky background in this Dhadkan movie poster. Akshay Kumar is seen with his eyes closed, oblivious to the fact that Shilpa Shetty’s eyes are wide open.

The title of the film is seen in handwritten typeface in white at the bottom. Typography used in this rare Suniel Shetty poster is entirely in English.

The soundtrack album of Dhadkan (2000) was composed by duo Nadeem–Shravan and quickly shot to fame, becoming the second highest selling album of the year 2000 after Mohabbatein.

Three cult songs from the film are fondly remembered and played till today, namely “Tum Dil Ki Dhadkan Mein” sung by Abhijeet and Alka Yagnik; “Dil Ne Yeh Kaha Hain Dil Se” sung by Udit Narayan, Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik; and “Dulhe Ka Sehra” sung by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan (male version) and Jaspinder Narula (female version).
