Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin poster for sale.
Featured here is an original Bollywood poster of the classic 1991 romantic comedy Hindi film directed by Mahesh Bhatt that starred Aamir Khan in the lead role opposite actress Pooja Bhatt.
Produced by Gulshan Kumar and presented jointly under the Super Cassettes and Vishesh Films banner, Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin (1991) also starred Anupam Kher, Sameer Chitre, Tiku Talsania, Deepak Tijori, Rajesh Puri, Mushtaq Khan, Avtaar Gill, Shammi and Shobha Khote in supporting roles.
Inspired by the Clark Gable Hollywood classic, It Happened One Night (1934), Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin (1991) marked the first major role of Mahesh Bhatt’s daughter, Pooja Bhatt.
The film told the story of Pooja (Pooja Bhatt) who is the daughter of millionaire business tycoon Seth Dharamchand (Anupam Kher). Despite her father’s disapproval, Pooja is madly in love with movie star Deepak Kumar (Sameer Chitre). One night, Pooja escapes from her father’s yacht and boards a bus to Bangalore to be with Deepak. On the bus she meets an out-of-work journalist called Raghu (Aamir Khan), who promises to help unite her with Deepak if she agrees to an exclusive story on the affair. In the meantime, Seth Dharamchand has declared a reward for anyone who can bring back his missing daughter. In a bid to reach Bangalore discreetly, the two have an adventurous journey and end up falling in love.
Printed and circulated during the film’s first release in theaters (somewhere in 1991), this Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin poster was originally designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.
Aamir Khan is seen in a stunning large close up wearing his trademark cap. Pooja Bhatt appears in a smaller full length photo alongside wearing a white dress and carrying a bag. A full length photographic still of actor Aamir Khan is seen at the bottom left of this Bollywood poster.
Typography used in this Aamir Khan poster is completely in English. The title of the film is seen in a handwritten font with a candle shaped heart that is melting at the center. An announcement on the top of the poster declares, “A Journey Into A Woman’s Heart …”
The soundtrack album of Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin (1991) was composed by duo Nadeem-Shravan. It was a blockbuster hit upon it’s release, with the title track “Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin” sung by Anuradha Paudwal winning her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer.
“Tu Pyar Hai Kisi Aur Ka” and “Adayein Bhi Hain Mohabbat Bhi Hai” both sung by Anuradha Paudwal & Kumar Sanu became a rage throughout the nation. “Mainu Ishq Da Lagya Rog” and “Galyat Sankali Sonyachi” sung by Anuradha Paudwal were also very popular at the time of the film’s release.
