Featured here is an original Bollywood poster of the old 2016 Hindi action thriller that featured the “King of Bollywood” Shah Rukh Khan in a double role.

Co-written and directed by Maneesh Sharma, Fan (2016) was produced by Aditya Chopra. Sayani Gupta, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Waluscha De Sousa also starred in the film.

Shah Rukh Khan played a dual role of movie star “Aryan Khanna” and his obsessive lookalike fan, “Gaurav Chandna.” To make the double role possible on screen, the superstar went through a full 3D scan, with special effects doing the rest.

Fan was highly praised for Shah Rukh Khan’s acting and its superb visual effects. At the 63rd Filmfare Awards, Fan received the Filmfare Award for Best Special Effects, making this Shah Rukh Khan poster, highly collectible!

Printed and circulated during the debut release of the film in 2016, this glossy Shah Rukh Khan poster was originally designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.

He is seen in his actual avatar in the background, while his obsessive fan avatar is seen in the foreground. The movie title is seen in red in a broken glass font.

Typography used in this Shah Rukh Khan poster is completely in English. A bike chase sequence is seen faintly in the distance on the side.

Although the film had only background music and no songs, the soundtrack album of Fan had a hit song, “Main Tera Hai Re Jabra Fan Ho Gaya,” which was used in the marketing promo. The song was composed by hit music composer duo Vishal–Shekhar and recorded in 9 different Indian languages sung by regional singers.
