Fashion movie poster for sale.
This is an actual surviving original Bollywood movie poster of the 2008 Hindi drama co-produced and directed by Madhur Bhandarkar that starred Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut and Mugdha Godse in lead roles.
Arjan Bajwa, Samir Soni and Arbaaz Khan played supporting roles in the film.
Counted as one of the best women-centric Bollywood films, Fashion (2008) was based on the harsh realities of the life of a fashion model in India.
Priyanka Chopra played the memorable role of small-town girl “Meghna Mathur” who moves to Mumbai to pursue her dream of becoming a supermodel. Fashion explored some of the real life issues plaguing the industry, such as wardrobe malfunctions, drugs, alcoholism, depression and exploitation.
The film featured several real life models and designers, giving it the appearance of a documentary instead of a work of fiction.
Fashion won the praise of audiences and critics alike. Priyanka Chopra won the Best Actress award while Kangana Ranaut bagged the Best Supporting Actress award at both the 56th National Film Awards as well as the 54th Filmfare Awards.
After delivering back-to-back flops at the box office, the success of Fashion marked a turning point in Priyanka Chopra’s Bollywood career, making this Fashion movie poster, highly collectible!
Printed and circulated during the debut of the film in theaters (somewhere in 2008), this Priyanka Chopra poster was designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.
The three lead actresses, Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut and Mugdha Godse are seen in their supermodel avatars in stunning waist length photographic stills in this Fashion movie poster. An announcement on the top reads, “Dazzling Hit.” The movie title appears in sparkling gold font at the bottom.
The soundtrack album of Fashion was composed by hit music composer duo Salim–Sulaiman.
