This is an actual surviving original vintage Bollywood poster of the 1972 Hindi drama directed by Charandas Shokh that starred debutants Pankaj and Shamim.

Kaanch Aur Heera (1972) also starred leading artists from the South Indian film industry such as Malashri, Chetan, Diccy Madhavrao and Rajendra Prasad, along with supporting actors Rajan Haksar, Kundan, Ajit Sachdev and Kashinath. Kamal Kapoor and Manmohan made guest appearances in the film.

Shot extensively in the city of Mysore, Kaanch Aur Heera (1972) was produced under the Sudarshan Chitra banner.

Printed and circulated during the screening of the film in theaters (somewhere in the early 1970s), this Kaanch Aur Heera poster was originally designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.

Originally designed in hand painted oil on canvas format by a Bollywood poster design studio in Bombay, this vintage Bollywood poster features a striking design.

The lead couple is seen swimming in a river from a key scene in the film. The hero who is blind, slips in the shallow river and the heroine jumps in to rescue him, leading to a passionate embrace between the two, which is brilliantly captured in this hand painted Bollywood poster.

Typography used in this Bollywood poster is primarily in English with a translation of the title appearing in Devanagari Hindi as well. The English title is seen in red in a very creatively designed slanted angle. Soothing waves are seen in the background of this Bollywood poster for wall.

The soundtrack album of Kaanch Aur Heera (1972) was composed by Ravindra Jain, with songs sung by Mohammed Rafi and Asha Bhosle.
