Featured here is a rare surviving original Bollywood poster of the old 2010 Hindi crime drama directed by Milan Luthria that starred Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi in key roles.

Produced by Ekta Kapoor under the Balaji Motion Pictures banner, Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai (2010) also starred Randeep Hooda, Kangana Ranaut, Prachi Desai, Asif Basra, Naved Aslam, Avtar Gill, Hemant Choudhary, Vikas Shrivastav and Gauahar Khan in supporting roles.

Based on the real lives of underworld kingpins Haji Mastan (played by Ajay Devgn) and Dawood Ibrahim (played by Emraan Hashmi), Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai (2010) chronicled the transition of Mumbai mafia from smuggling to international terrorism.

Printed and circulated during the first release of the film in theaters (somewhere in 2010), this Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai poster was designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.

This original Bollywood poster features stunning full length still photos of the two lead couples, Ajay Devgn and Kangana Ranaut along with Emraan Hashmi and Prachi Desai. Ajay Devgn is seen wearing his trademark immaculate white clothes, holding a lit cigarette in his hand.

The iconic “Queen’s Necklace” of Mumbai, i.e. Marine Drive is seen in the background of this original Bollywood poster in sepia tone. Typography used in this Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai poster is entirely in English, with the title appearing in vintage enamel advertising style on the top. A subtitle below reads, “When It All Started.” The release date of the film is mentioned at the bottom, i.e. July 30, 2010, with a line below that reads “Mumbai Goes Rewind,” giving away the period setting of the film.

The soundtrack album of Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai (2010) was composed by Pritam, while lyrics were written by Irshad Kamil among others. It featured gems like “Pee Loon” sung by Mohit Chauhan and “Tum Jo Aaye Zindagi Mein” sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.

The stellar success of Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai (2010) inspired a sequel called Once Upon Ay Time in Mumbai Dobaara! (2013) starring Akshay Kumar, Imran Khan and Sonakshi Sinha.
