This is an actual surviving piece of cinematic history! An original vintage Bollywood poster of the 1979 Yash Chopra classic that starred the greatest superstar of Indian cinema, Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role.

Printed and circulated during the international release of the film in the Middle East somewhere in the 1980s/1990s, this Kaala Patthar poster was originally designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.

This Amitabh poster was originally designed on a canvas board using a photographic collage. The angry young man of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan is seen prominently on the top in a stunning still photo, screaming in anguish. In a smaller still photo at the bottom of this Kala Patthar poster, Shashi Kapoor is seen breaking off a fight between Amitabh Bachchan and Sharughan Sinha.

Actresses Neetu Singh, Parveen Babi and Raakhee Gulzar are seen on the bottom right of this this Amitabh Bachchan old movie poster. The title of this Kala Patthar poster appears on the top in Lebanese with an English translation below. The star cast is credited on the top as well.

Kaala Patthar (Black Stone) is a 1979 Hindi action film produced and directed by Yash Chopra. The story was written by Salim-Javed and it highlights the plight of workers in coal mines run by ruthlessly selfish owners. This film was the fourth collaboration between Amitabh Bachchan, Shashi Kapoor and director Yash Chopra after the hugely successful Deewaar (1975), Kabhie Kabhie (1976) and Trishul (1978).

In spite of doing average business at the box office, the film was critically acclaimed and received several Filmfare Award nominations. Kaala Patthar has attained cult status over the years and is considered a classic in Indian cinema.
