This is an actual surviving vintage Bollywood showcard set of the 1979 thriller that featured the greatest superstar of Indian cinema, Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role.
Printed and circulated during the first release of the film (late 1970s), this set of original Bollywood showcards was designed and printed for publicity of the film inside a cinema hall.
This is a rare surviving complete set of showcards that was actually issued to a cinema hall that screened the film, making it highly collectible!
Showcards were used as pin ups on notice boards inside the foyers of cinema halls. The corner of each showcard would be punched with a ring hole to allow cinemas to pin them up on notice boards with ease.

This Amitabh movie was a hit at the box office owing largely to key scenes shot at expensive foreign locations as well as its gripping plot based on international gangsters, spies and secret agents.
The song “Do Lafzon Ki Hai Dil Ki Kahaani” shot on a moving Gondola in Venice’s Grand Canal was a stellar success and is played till today.
