Return to the 36th Chamber poster for sale.

Featured here is a rare original kung fu movie poster of the 1980 comedy action film produced by Shaw Brothers and directed by Lau Kar-leung that starred Gordon Liu in the lead role.

Return to the 36th Chamber was a sequel to The 36th Chamber of Shaolin (1978), which is considered one of the greatest kung fu films ever made, making this vintage kung fu poster, highly collectible!

Printed and circulated in India during the local release run of the film (somewhere in the early 1980s), this Return to the 36th Chamber poster was originally designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.

This old kung fu movie poster was originally designed in photographic collage format. A stunning full length photographic still of Gordon Liu in his character of an impostor monk is seen on the top. Still photos of supporting actors Kara Hui, Hsiao Ho and Wong Ching-ho are seen as well in this Return to the 36th Chamber poster.

An announcement at the top reads, “Liu Chia-Hui in.” A blue sky background is seen on the top, while the bottom has a still photograph of an army.

The Hong Kong kung fu film had a prequel as well as a sequel: The 36th Chamber of Shaolin (1978) and Disciples of the 36th Chamber (1985).
