Apur Sansar is a Bengali drama film produced, written and directed by legendary filmmaker Satyajit Ray. It is the third and final installment in the “Apu Trilogy” after Pather Panchali (1955) and Aparajito (1956). The series revolves around the life of a young Bengali girl named Apu.
This Satyajit Ray masterpiece starred Soumitra Chatterjee (playing the role of Apu) and Sharmila Tagore (playing his wife Aparna). The two would go on to appear in several subsequent films made by Ray.
Apur Sansar won the National Film Award and several international awards, finding mention among the greatest films of all time, making this Apur Sansar poster, highly collectible!
