Jeetendra poster for sale: Dharti Kahe Pukarke (1969).

Featured here is an actual surviving vintage Bollywood poster of the old 1969 Hindi drama directed by Dulal Guha that starred Jeetendra, Nanda and Sanjeev Kumar in key roles.

Produced by Deenanath Shastri under the Vaishali Films banner and presented by Dharmendra, Dharti Kahe Pukarke (1969) also starred Libi Rana (credited as Nivedita), Kanhaiyalal, Durga Khote, Tiwari, Asit Sen, Tarun Bose, Leela Mishra, Manmohan, A.K. Hangal, Radhe Shyam, Madhu Malini, Abhi Bhattacharya and Sujit Kumar in supporting roles.

Dharti Kahe Pukarke (1969) told the story of a rural family comprising three stepbrothers who mortgage their farmland to a moneylender in order to fund a city education for one of them.

Printed and circulated during a subsequent release of the film (somewhere in the 1970s), this vintage Bollywood poster was designed for publicity of the film in north Indian theaters but never ended up being used.

This retro Jeetendra poster was originally designed in hand painted oil on canvas format by an art studio in Delhi and features stunning illustrated artwork.

Actress Nanda is seen in a hand drawn portrait in a dancing pose at the top. Actor Sanjeev Kumar is seen in a close up below. Jeetendra is seen in a large illustration on the bottom left, playing the dafli (tambourine) from the song, “Khushi Ki Woh Raat Aa Gayi.” A small illustration of Kanhaiyalal (who plays the eldest of the three stepbrothers) is seen on the bottom right in black and white.

The background used in this Dharti Kahe Pukarke movie poster features a lush green field on the top. Typography used in this original Jeetendra poster is entirely in Devanagari Hindi. The film’s title appears in a yellow 3D typeface, standing out against the background. Flames are seen burning above the title, with a hand holding a pickaxe rising above the flames.

The super hit soundtrack album of Dharti Kahe Pukarke (1969) was composed by duo Laxmikant-Pyarelal, while lyrics were written by Majrooh Sultanpuri.

This vintage Bollywood poster capitalizes on the film’s successful music album by mentioning lyrics of popular tracks from the film on the top as: “Je Hum Tum Chori Se, Bandhe Ek Dori Se” sung by Mukesh & Lata Mangeshkar and “Jaa Re Kaare Badra, Balma Ke Dwaar” sung by Lata Mangeshkar. Another hit song from the movie, is seen written in a circular font on the dafli (tambourine) being played by Jeetendra: “Khushi Ki Woh Raat Aa Gayi Koi Geet Bajne Do” sung by Mukesh.
