Featured here is a rare original Bollywood poster of the 2013 cult Hindi comedy that starred Pulkit Samrat, Manjot Singh, Ali Fazal and Varun Sharma in key roles.
Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, Fukrey (2013) also starred Richa Chadda, Priya Anand, Vishakha Singh and Pankaj Tripathi in supporting roles.
The film was a sleeper hit, amassing a cult following over the years. Characters from the film such as “Choocha” and “Bholi Punjaban” became the stuff of legend, making this Fukrey poster, highly collectible!
Printed and circulated during the first release of the film in theaters (somewhere in 2013), this Fukrey poster was originally designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.
The four lead actors of the film, Pulkit Samrat, Manjot Singh, Ali Fazal and Varun Sharma, are seen prominently in this Hindi comedy poster. A hand drawn auto rickshaw is seen in the background and actor Pulkit Samrat is seen posing in front of it as the driver. The other three actors appear in flying poses. A simple neutral color is used in the background of this Fukrey poster.
The title of the film appears in a stunning font, with a graffiti like typeface at the bottom of this Hindi comedy poster. A subtitle. “Going Cheap!” is seen below it, giving away the comedy genre of the film.
The soundtrack album of Fukrey was composed by Ram Sampath. A couple of songs from the film, namely “Ambarsariya” sung by Sona Mohapatra and the title track “Fuk Fuk Fukrey” became popular at the time of it’s release and are played till today.
