Featured here is a rare original Bollywood poster of the 2004 cult Hindi crime drama that starred Nana Patekar in the lead role as inspector “Sadhu Agashe.”

Directed by Shimit Amin and produced by Ram Gopal Varma, Ab Tak Chhappan (2004) also starred Yashpal Sharma, Nakul Vaid, Mohan Agashe, Kunal Vijaykar, Revathi, Hrishitaa Bhatt, Prasad Purandare and Ravi Kale in supporting roles.

Ab Tak Chhappan was based on the real life story of legendary encounter cop Daya Nayak who was a sub-inspector in the Mumbai Police force with over 56 recorded killings to his name.

The film premiered at the New York Asian Film Festival and has attained cult status over the years, with critics praising Nana Patekar’s stellar performance in the film, making this Ab Tak Chhappan poster, highly collectible!

Printed and circulated during the first release of the film in theaters (somewhere in 2004), this Ab Tak Chhappan poster was originally designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.

Ab Tak Chhappan was released without any songs. A first-person shooter game titled “Fatal Encounter” was released as a promotional tie up with the film. The film’s cult success spurred a sequel titled “Ab Tak Chhappan 2” which was released in 2015.
