Featured here is an actual surviving original Bhojpuri movie poster of the old 1983 film directed by Kalpatru that starred Tanuja and Sachin Pilgaonkar in key roles.

Produced by Mohanji Prasad, Hamar Bhauji (1983) was presented under the Radhika Films banner and also starred Shreeram Lagoo, Dheeraj Kumar, Manmohan Krishna, Paintal, Aruna Irani, Shubha Khote, Shobhana Samarth, Jayshree T., Yunus Parvez, Rajni Sharma, Kunal Singh and Tarik in supporting roles.

Printed and circulated subsequent to the first release of the film (somewhere in the 1980s), this old Bhojpuri poster was printed for publicity of the film in north Indian theaters but never ended up being used.

This Hamar Bhauji poster was originally hand drawn on canvas by a movie poster art studio in Delhi and features quirky artwork.

A striking close up illustration of actor Sachin Pilgaonkar is seen prominently on the top. The actor is seen again at the bottom in a hand drawn portrait bowing down and seeking the blessings of actress Tanuja. A green tinted over painted still photograph of legendary actor Shreeram Lagoo is seen at the bottom right of this vintage Bhojpuri poster.

The three supporting actresses who star in the film are seen in close up hand drawn illustrations inside circles arranged vertically one below the other on the left. A smaller still photograph featuring Aruna Irani and Paintal dancing together, taken from the song “Ho Mori Bhauji” sung by Suresh Wadkar and Alka Yagnik, is seen on the bottom left of this old movie poster.

The background of this Hamar Bhauji movie poster is yellow, with streaks of red on the top. Typography used in this old Bhojpuri poster is entirely in Devanagari Hindi, with the title appearing in red highlighted with a yellow border against a blue background.

The soundtrack album of Hamar Bhauji (1983) was composed by Chitragupt, while lyrics were written by Anjaan. It featured the super hit song, “Bhaiya Hamar Ram Jaisan Bhauji Hamar Sita” sung by Suresh Wadkar, Udit Narayan and Shailendra Singh.
