Quirky hand painted old Bollywood movie poster of the Hindi film Hamrahi (1963) for sale.
This is an actual surviving vintage Bollywood poster of the 1963 film, which featured “Jubilee Kumar,” actor Rajendra Kumar along with Mehmood & Shubha Khote.
Printed and circulated during the first release of the film (somewhere in the 1960s), this quirky hand painted old Hindi movie poster was originally designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.
Very rare item. Only a few posters available in stock!
This poster was originally designed in hand painted format on canvas using oil paints, making it very collectable. On the top left of the poster, three black and white still photos from the film are seen, each a close up mugshot of the lead actors from the film. The topmost still photograph appears cropped – most probably an error in design or printing.
The bottom of this beautiful hand painted poster features a very quirky painting of one of the most successful comedians in Bollywood, Mehmood. Typography in the poster is seen both in English as well as Devanagari Hindi.
This minimalistic hand painted old Hindi film poster is set against a white background.
This poster has been graded as ★ AI (As Is) due to a small hole that can be clearly seen from the adjoining photograph (circular shaped hole on the black and white photo still on the left of the poster). Besides this small missing piece, the poster is overall in fair condition and display worthy.
