Jhutha Sach poster for sale.
Featured here is an actual surviving original Bollywood poster of the old 1984 Hindi film directed by Esmayeel Shroff that starred Dharmendra in a double role opposite Rekha.
Produced by A.G. Nadiadwala and presented under his A.G. Films banner, Jhutha Sach (1984) also starred Amrish Puri, Aruna Irani, Asrani, Prema Narayan, Lalita Pawar, Manik Irani, Jugal Hansraj, Baby Pinky, Bhagwan, Mukri, Birbal, Azad, Viju Khote and Piloo Wadia in supporting roles.
Jhutha Sach (1984) told the story of a wealthy widower called Vijay (Dharmendra) with two kids called Binny (Jugal Hansraj) and Chinki (Baby Pinky) who are taken care of by a live-in nanny called Madam (Lalita Pawar). Vijay is afraid to remarry as he fears his children will not accept a stepmother. However, his children convince him otherwise and pick a singer called Alka (Rekha) as the woman they want as their mother. Vijay remarries and heads with Alka for his honeymoon. A tragic road accident occurs on the way that ends up killing Vijay. Knowing well that the kids will be completely devastated on learning that both their biological parents are now dead, Alka hires a ruthless dacoit called Tiger (Dharmendra) who is Vijay’s doppelganger. She thinks that over a period of one month that he has been hired to play dad, the kids will begin to abhor him, giving her the opportunity to stage a separation from him and raise the kids by herself.
Printed and circulated during the first release of the film (somewhere in 1984), this Jhutha Sach poster was designed and printed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.
