Re-release Bollywood movie poster of the blockbuster Hindi film, Qurbani (1980) for sale.
This is an actual publicity poster of the 1980 film that is credited with starting the “Disco Revolution” in India.
Printed and circulated a couple of decades after the first release of the film (somewhere in the early 2000s), this movie poster was originally designed for publicity of the recent re-release of the film but never ended up being used.
Qurbani was a box office blockbuster and the biggest hit of the year. Its songs were so popular that vinyl records and audio tapes of the film dominated the audio industry for years.
Songs from the film, particularly “Aap Jaisa Koi” and “Laila O Laila” are played till today.
Qurbani is a 1980 Bollywood action film produced and directed by Feroz Khan starring him along with Vinod Khanna, Zeenat Aman and Amjad Khan. Feroz Khan introduced Kader Khan, Shakti Kapoor and Amrish Puri into mainstream Hindi movies by casting them in Qurbani.
Qurbani was the highest grossing film of 1980. The film’s large canvas which included key scenes shot in foreign locations and expensive stunts ensured that it ruled the box office for months to come.
