Featured here is an original Bollywood movie poster of the old 1962 Hindi thriller, Reporter Raju that starred “The Clint Eastwood of the East,” Feroz Khan in the lead role.

Directed by Dwarka Khosla, Reporter Raju (1962) also starred Chitra, Jeevan Kala, Indira, Manorama and Sulochana Chatterjee in supporting roles.

Printed and circulated during the release run of the film in theaters (somewhere in the 1960s), this Reporter Raju poster was originally designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.

Produced by Homi Wadia of Wadia Brothers fame under the Basant Pictures banner, Reporter Raju (1962) was based on the story of a famous reporter who becomes a fugitive after being named as a suspect in a homicide.

This vintage Bollywood poster was originally designed using a combination of two techniques: hand painted oil on canvas as well as photographic collage. Lead actor Feroz Khan is seen in a stunning illustration on the top. His portrait appears ripping through a newspaper, with a pair of handcuffs seen dangling over his face. The Times of India logo is faintly visible in the newspaper still photo used in the background of this Reporter Raju poster.

Actress Chitra is seen lying down at the bottom in a hand drawn portrait. Typography used in this vintage Bollywood poster is primarily in English with a translation of the title in Hindi as well as in Urdu.

Music of Reporter Raju (1962) was composed by S. Mohinder.
