Fantasy movie poster for sale: Saat Sawal Yane Hatim Tai (1971).
This is an actual surviving vintage Bollywood poster of the old 1971 Hindi film directed by the pioneer of special effects in Indian cinema, Babubhai Mistry.
A Wadia Brothers production released under the Basant Pictures banner, Saat Sawal Yane Hatim Tai (1971) starred newcomer Naval Kumar and Heena Kumari in lead roles.
The film also starred Sujata, Jayshree T., Anita, Rupali, Manhar Desai, Shyam Kumar, Yesh Raj, Johnny Whiskey, Wasti, Dalpat Joshi, Habib, Paul Sharma, Master Chintoo, Nikilesh, Shree Bhagwan, Anant Joshi, Bismilla, Satyam Baboo, Ajit Soni, Muna Singh, Ruga Phelwan, John Fernandes, Raj Kumari, Kavita, Fakrudin, Benazir, Nagma, Vijaya and Rajni Bala in supporting roles.
Printed and circulated during the initial release run of the film in theaters (somewhere in the early 1970s), this original Bollywood poster was designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.
This fantasy movie poster was originally designed in hand painted oil on canvas format by a leading poster design studio.
The title of the film appears on the top in embossed styled typography in blue. Actress Heena Kumari is seen at the center in a stunning illustration, appearing in her character of a winged angel. A smaller hand painted portrait of actor Naval Kumar is seen on the bottom left of this Hatim Tai poster.
A soothing blue sky background is seen in this fantasy movie poster, through a door arch which has two semi abstract illustrations of angels. Typography used in this vintage Bollywood poster is primarily in English with a translation of the title appearing in Devanagari Hindi as well as in Urdu.
The soundtrack album of Saat Sawal Yane Hatim Tai was composed by Lala Sattar.
