Featured here is a rare original Bollywood poster of the 2017 sports documentary directed by James Erskine that was based on the real life story of legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar, who is commonly referred to as the “God of Cricket.”

Produced by Ravi Bhagchandka & Shrikant Bhasi and released under the 200 NotOut Productions & Carnival Pictures banner, Sachin: A Billion Dreams (2017) starred Indian cricketers Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni and Virender Sehwag in key roles.

One of the greatest batsmen in the history of cricket, Sachin Tendulkar is the all-time highest run scorer in both ODI (over 18,000 runs) as well as Test cricket (over 15,000 runs). He also holds the record for receiving the maximum number of man-of-the-match awards in international cricket.

The documentary captured Sachin’s professional as well as personal life in detail and was well received by his fans worldwide, making this old Bollywood poster, highly collectible!

Printed and circulated during the first release of the film in theaters (somewhere in 2017), this Sachin Tendulkar poster was originally designed for publicity of the movie but never ended up being used.

A stunning side profile close up of the cricketer is seen at the center of this original Bollywood poster. Five other photos of his from different stages of his illustrious cricketing career are seen integrated into the design, A sepia tone photograph of the cricketer with his family is seen on the top left.

Words are seen in English splattered over the photos: “Father,” “Brother,” “Practice,” “99s,” “Hurt,” Defeats,” “Fans,” “Coach,” “Pressure,” “Injuries” and “Bouncers.”

The title of the film appears in a stenciled font at the top of this Sachin Tendulkar wall poster. Typography used in this Bollywood poster is primarily in Devanagari Hindi, with key captions in English. The release date of the film is mentioned in red at the bottom of this Sachin poster.

The soundtrack album of Sachin: A Billion Dreams (2017) was composed by A. R. Rahman. The film was released in five Indian languages, namely English, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu. The name of the film was selected via a contest that Sachin Tendulkar posted on Twitter. Sachin: A Billion Dreams won the trophy for the Best Director of a Long Documentary at the Tehran International FICTS Festival in 2018.
