Produced by Romu N. Sippy under the Rupam Pictures’ banner, Shiva Ka Insaaf (1985) starred Poonam Dhillon as Jackie Shroff’s love interest, along with Mazhar Khan, Parikshit Sahni, Shakti Kapoor, Gulshan Grover, Vinod Mehra, Satish Kaul, Viju Khote, Shashi Kiran and Hercules in supporting roles.

An action packed drama, Shiva Ka Insaaf (1985) featured superstar Jackie Shroff as a caped superhero who sets out to avenge the death of his parents. Dialogues of the film were written by legendary supporting actor Kader Khan, while action and stunts were directed by Veeru Devgan.

Printed and circulated during the debut release of the film in theaters (somewhere in 1985), this Shiva Ka Insaaf movie poster was made for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.

This vintage Bollywood poster was originally designed in photographic collage format by the highest paid movie poster artist of all time in Indian cinema, Diwakar Karkare of Studio Diwakar Bombay fame.

An announcement on the top reads, “India’s First Hindi 3-D Movie.” The message clearly distinguishes Shiva Ka Insaaf (1985), which was made in Hindi, from India’s first 3-D movie, My Dear Kuttichathan (1984), which was made in Malayalam.

The title is illustrated in yellow as well as black in a stylized handwritten font. The entire artwork in this Bollywood superhero movies poster is set inside a pink background. The characters are seen leaping out of a small reel frame at the center, suggesting the 3-D format of the film.

The soundtrack album of Shiva Ka Insaaf (1985) was composed by legendary music director R.D. Burman, while lyrics were written by Gulshan Bawra. It featured the memorable song, “Bhang Jamaye Rang Jara Sa” sung by Asha Bhosle and Mohammed Aziz.
