This is an actual surviving rare vintage original Bollywood poster of the 1950 mythological Hindi film that was produced and directed by Homi Wadia.

Released under the Basant Pictures banner, Shree Krishna Vivah Yane Shree Ganesh Mahima was a spiritual black and white film that starred Meena Kumari and Mahipal in lead roles. S.N. Tripathi, Moolchand, Mangla, Dalpat, Vimal, Patel, Leela Kurle and Ramesh Desai played supporting roles in this classic.

Printed and circulated during the screening of the film in theaters (somewhere in 1950), this rare mythology movie poster was printed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.

The “Tragedy Queen” of Indian cinema, Meena Kumari was only eighteen years old when Shree Krishna Vivah Yane Shree Ganesh Mahima was released in 1950. Her performance was highly praised, making this Shri Krishna Vivah poster, highly collectible!

This Shri Ganesh Mahima poster was originally designed in hand painted oil on canvas format by a movie poster design studio in Bombay.

Actor Mahipal who plays Lord Krishna is seen on the top in a stunning hand painted rendition. Meena Kumari is seen alongside, in her character of Satyabhama. Mangla and Leela Kurle appear below in this mythology movie poster. Lettering used in this poster is entirely in Devanagari Hindi.

The soundtrack album of Shree Krishna Vivah Yane Shree Ganesh Mahima was composed by S.N. Tripathi who also starred in the film.
