A romantic action drama directed by Satish Kaushik, Tere Naam was a remake of the Tamil film Sethu (1999) which was directed by Bala. The script of Tere Naam was written by Bala and is believed to be based on the true story of his friend who lost his mind and ended up in a mental asylum.
