Re-release Bollywood poster of the blockbuster Bollywood film, Tezaab (1988) for sale.
Featured here for sale is a reissue Bollywood poster of the 1988 film that featured the “Ek Do Teen” girl of Bollywood, Madhuri Dixit in the lead role along with Anil Kapoor (of Slumdog Millionaire fame).
Printed and circulated several years after the first release of the film (Early 2000s), this Tezaab movie poster was originally designed for publicity of the recent re-release film but never ended up being used.
After delivering a string of consecutive flops, Tezaab was the first successful film for Madhuri Dixit, turning her into an overnight sensation. The film’s popularity was such that Madhuri Dixit is still referred to by the name of the character she played in Tezaab, i.e. “Mohini”.
Tezaab was a blockbuster and ran in cinemas for over 50 weeks, becoming a golden jubilee and the highest grossing film of the year, making this poster highly collectible!
The film received a total of twelve nominations at the Filmfare Awards out of which it won four. Anil Kapoor won his first Best Actor award, while Madhuri Dixit received her first ever nomination for Best Actress.
This reissue Tezaab movie poster features a still photograph of Madhuri Dixit from the iconic song, “Ek Do Teen” on the bottom left. Anil Kapoor is seen in two different avatars on the top – One as an angry man restricted by handcuffs and the other dangerous, holding a dagger.
Tezaab is fondly remembered for the chart topping number, “Ek Do Teen.” Composed by Laxmikant-Pyarelal, the song was picturized on Madhuri Dixit and won two awards at Filmfare – Best Female Playback and Best Choreography.
Tezaab is a 1988 blockbuster Bollywood film produced and directed by N. Chandra.
