Directed by Pietro Francisci and produced by Federico Teti, the film also starred Sylva Koscina as Hercules’ love interest.

Printed and circulated in India during the local release run of the film (somewhere in the 1960s), this Hercules 1958 movie poster was originally intended for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.

A beautiful outline style illustration of actress Sylva Koscina is seen on the top. Actor Steve Reeves is seen below in a stunning hand painted portrait lifting his arms to the sky. Broken shackles are seen on his wrists.

A semi abstract hand drawn rendition of a fight scene is seen in the background. The title of the film appears in blue with a black border at the bottom. A line below reads, “A Warrior Mightier Than Samson!” giving away the plot of the film.

The success of the film spawned a sequel in 1959 called Hercules Unchained (Ercole e la Regina di Lidia), which also starred Steve Reeves and Sylva Koscina.
