Rajesh Khanna poster for sale: Adhikar (1986).
Featured here is a rare surviving original Bollywood poster of the old 1986 Hindi film that featured the original superstar of Bollywood, Rajesh Khanna in the lead role opposite actress Tina Munim.
Directed by Vijay Sadanah, Adhikar also starred Tanuja, Danny Denzongpa, Master Bulbul, Zarina Wahab, Bindu, Sulochana Latkar, Raza Murad and Paintal in supporting roles.
Printed and circulated during a subsequent release run of the film in Kolkata (somewhere in the 1980s), this old Rajesh Khanna poster was originally designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.
This old Adhikar movie poster was originally designed in hand drawn format on canvas by a Bollywood poster art studio in Kolkata. A quirky painting of superstar Rajesh Khanna in line drawing style is seen in red at the bottom. A large hand drawn portrait of lead actress Tina Munim is seen on the top in yellow. A smaller grayscale portrait of Master Bulbul is seen below.
The background used in this Rajesh Khanna poster is a very catchy shade of yellow, giving it a striking appearance. Typography used in this Bollywood poster is primarily in English, with the film’s title translated in Devanagari Hindi as well. The English title appears in a high impact white font with a thick red border.
Adhikar was the last film which featured the hit couple Rajesh Khanna and Tina Munim together. The film explored the delicate subject of separation and child custody. Tina Munim’s role of a married woman pursuing a successful career that causes a strain on her marriage is widely regarded as her finest performance.
