Featured here is a rare surviving original Bollywood poster of the old 1978 Hindi film that featured Sachin Pilgaonkar and Ranjeeta Kaur in a romantic plot.

Directed by Hiren Nag and produced by Tarachand Barjatya under the Rajshri Productions banner, Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se also starred Madan Puri and Iftekhar in supporting roles.

Printed and circulated during a subsequent release run of the film in Kolkata (somewhere in the 1980s), this old handmade Bollywood poster was originally designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.

A quirky painting of the lead couple in a romantic dancing pose is seen in the foreground. A large hand drawn semi portrait of the lead actress is seen in the background with a focus on her eyes.

The background used in this hand drawing movie poster is a very catchy shade of orange red, giving it a striking appearance. Typography used in this Bollywood poster is primarily in English, with the film’s title translated in Devanagari Hindi as well at the top.

Following the critical and commercial success of Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se, in 2011 a sequel called Jaana Pehchana was released featuring the original actors, Sachin Pilgaonkar and Ranjeeta Kaur.
