Retro Bollywood posters for sale online: Buy original vintage movie poster of the Hindi film, All Rounder (1984).
This is an actual surviving original Bollywood poster of the 1984 Hindi sports drama directed and produced by Mohan Kumar that starred Kumar Gaurav and Rati Agnihotri in lead roles. Vinod Mehra, Ramesh Deo, Shakti Kapoor, Shubha Khote and Paintal played supporting characters in the film.
Printed and circulated during the first release of the film in theaters (somewhere in the early 1980s), this retro Bollywood poster was originally designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.
This All Rounder movie poster was originally designed using mixed design techniques – i.e. a combination of both hand painted art as well as photographic still collage by a movie poster art studio in Bombay. A still photo of actor Kumar Gaurav is seen over-painted at the center of this brilliantly designed retro Bollywood poster. He is seen dressed in cricket gear knocking the ball outside the stadium in a winning shot with his cricket bat. The ball is seen punching a hole through the letter “O” in the title above.
This retro Bollywood poster is set against a stunning red background. The figures in the center are encircled with concentric circles that resemble a cricket ball, giving away the sports theme of the film. The title of the film appears in a stunning yellow font in English on the top with a translation in Devanagari Hindi under it in white.
All Rounder was released a year after India’s historic win at the 1983 cricket World Cup. At a time when cricket fever was at its peak in the nation, the film had a successful run in theaters. The soundtrack album of All Rounder was composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal and lyrics written by Anand Bakshi.
