Old Indian movie poster for sale of the classic Hindi film Amaanat (1975).
This is an actual surviving vintage Indian cinema poster of the old 1975 Hindi film that starred Manoj Kumar, Sadhna, Balraj Sahni, Mehmood and Rehman in prominent roles.
Written, produced and directed by Shatrujiit Paul, Amaanat also starred Shashikala, Aruna Irani, Achala Sachdev, Mukri, Asit Sen, Dheeraj Kumar and Krishan Dhawan in supporting roles.
Printed and circulated during the original first release run of the film (somewhere in the mid 1970s), this vintage Indian poster for sale was designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.
This old Indian film poster was originally hand painted on canvas by one of the most noted Bollywood poster painters of his time, C. Mohan of Studio C Mohan fame. The trademark vertical printed signature of Bollywood poster artist C. Mohan is seen on the bottom left of this old Indian poster.
C. Mohan’s mastery over the paint brush and flair for realism is evident in this old Indian movie poster for sale. Fabulous hand painted portraits of actors Manoj Kumar and Mehmood screaming are seen prominently in this old Indian film poster. Actress Sadhna is seen on the top against a beautiful yellow background. The title of the film appears in red at the bottom of this vintage Indian poster for sale.
The soundtrack of Amaanat was composed by Ravi, while lyrics were written by Sahir Ludhianvi. Songs from the film such as “Door Rehkar Na Karo Baat Kareeb Aa Jao” and “Matlab Nikal Gaya To Pehchante Nahin” sung by Mohammed Rafi are fondly remembered and played till today.
