Directed by Anurag Basu, Barfi! was a 2012 romantic comedy that starred Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Ileana D’Cruz in lead roles. Saurabh Shukla, Ashish Vidyarthi, Roopa Ganguly, Sumona Chakravarti, Haradhan Bandopadhyay and Jisshu Sengupta played supporting roles in the film.

The positive portrayal of differently abled people in the film won widespread critical acclaim. Barfi! was the highest grossing Bollywood film of 2012 both in India as well as overseas. The film was selected as India’s official entry for the Best Foreign Language Film nomination for the 85th Academy Awards, making this Barfi poster, highly collectible!

Ranbir Kapoor is seen prominently in his character of “Murphy (Barfi) Johnson,” a deaf and dumb boy, in this Barfi poster. He is seen wearing vintage clothing and riding a bicycle, giving away the period setting of the film. A rooster is seen flying away in the nick of time to save itself. An umbrella and vessel have been added in the background as a suggestion to give the effect of the bicycle being out of control.

A soothing blue sky is seen in the background of this Barfi movie poster. Typography used in this Ranbir Kapoor movie poster is completely in English except for the title at the top. The title is seen in Devanagari Hindi script in a light shade of orange.

At the 58th Filmfare Awards, Barfi! received a massive twelve nominations, winning seven awards including Best Film, Best Actor (Ranbir Kapoor), Best Female Debut (Ileana D’Cruz) and Best Music Director (Pritam).
