Govinda poster for sale: Bhabhi (1991).
Featured here is an actual surviving poster of the old 1991 Hindi film directed by Kishore Vyas that starred Govinda, Bhanupriya and Juhi Chawla in key roles.
Gulshan Grover, Ajit Vachani and Dinesh Hingoo played supporting roles in Bhabhi (1991).
Printed and circulated during a subsequent release run of the film in Kolkata (somewhere in the 1990s), this hand drawn Govinda poster was designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.
This vintage Bhabhi poster was originally designed in hand painted oil on canvas format by a Bollywood poster art studio in Kolkata.
A large hand drawn close up of South Indian actress Bhanupriya is seen at the bottom. Govinda and Juhi Chawla are seen dancing in a quirky illustration on the top.
Typography used in this vintage Bollywood poster is primarily in English, with a translation of the title seen in Devanagari Hindi as well on the top. A combination of eye catching hues of red, blue, yellow and white have been used in this hand painted Govinda poster.
The music album of Bhabhi (1991) was composed by Anu Malik and it featured the popular song, “Chandi Ki Cycle Sone Ki Seat, Aao Chale Darling Chale Double Seat” sung by Nitin Mukesh and Anuradha Paudwal. The film also featured the devotional song, “Tumhi Meri Mata Tumhi Pita Ho” written by Hasrat Jaipuri and sung by Alka Yagnik.
