This is an actual surviving vintage Bollywood poster of the 1979 action drama that starred the biggest superstar of Indian cinema Rajnikanth, along with Vishnuvardhan, Kavitha and Bhavani. Directed by K.S.R. Doss, the film was made in an era largely influenced by western classics.

Printed and circulated during the release of the film in theaters (somewhere in 1979), this old illustration Bollywood poster was originally designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.

This Diler movie poster was originally hand painted on canvas by a poster design studio in Bombay. A dramatic action scene is seen unfolding at the center of this old illustration Bollywood poster. Two horses are seen on their hind legs with a man at the center holding a dagger, in this symmetrical poster design. Three women are seen on a burning pyre in the background.

A dancing couple is seen on the bottom left, while a solo dancer appears on the right. The title of the film is arranged in a stunning calligraphy styled font in this old illustration Bollywood poster. A translation of the title is seen below in Devanagari Hindi script as well as in Urdu.
