Old style movie posters for sale: Hatyara (1977).

This is an actual surviving original vintage Bollywood poster of the old 1977 Hindi film directed by Surendra Mohan that starred Vinod Khanna, Pran and Moushumi Chatterjee in key roles.

This action packed crime drama also starred Rakesh Roshan, Nirupa Roy and Priyadarshini in supporting roles. Rajesh Khanna, Pradeep Kumar, Laxmi Chhaya and Mehmood made guest appearances in the film.

Printed and circulated during a subsequent theatrical release run of the film in Delhi (somewhere in the 1980s), this Hatyara movie poster was designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.

This old style movie poster was originally designed in hand drawn oil on canvas format by an art studio in Delhi.

A large quirky hand drawn rendition of star Vinod Khanna is seen in this vintage Bollywood poster. He is seen dressed as a bandit, holding a rifle in his hands. Rough visible brush strokes add a rugged and macho character to his face.

The background is semi-abstract and shows an illustration of mountainous peaks along with an orange yellow sky on the top.

Typography used in this hand painted Bollywood poster is both in English at the top as well as in Devanagari Hindi at the bottom. The main title of the film appears in yellow at the bottom, with a thin border of red, giving it a striking appearance.

The soundtrack album of Hatyara was composed by hit duo Kalyanji Anandji.
