Hindi movie posters for sale: Mohabbat Zindagi Hai (1966).
Featured here is an original vintage Bollywood movie poster of the old 1970 Hindi film directed by Jagdish Nirula that starred Dharmendra and Rajshree in lead roles.
Shot partly in the coal mines of Dhanbad, Mohabbat Zindagi Hai also starred Mehmood, Nazir Hussain and Deven Verma in supporting roles.
Printed and circulated during the theatrical run of the film in Delhi (somewhere in the late 1970s), this Hindi movie poster was printed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.
This Mohabbat Zindagi Hai poster was originally hand drawn on canvas by a Bollywood poster design studio in Delhi. Superstar Dharmendra is seen firing a pistol in a quirky illustration on the left of the poster. Actress Rajshree appears alongside wearing a red wedding dress in a stunning hand drawn rendition.
Typography used in this Dharmendra movie poster is a combination of both Devanagari Hindi as well as English. An announcement on the top of this Hindi movie poster reads, “… Aur Bewafa Biwi Pati Ke Phaansi Chadne Ke Intezaar Mein” (… And Unfaithful Wife Waiting For Her Husband To Be Hanged).
The main Hindi title at the bottom is painted in blue with a black border, while the English title at the top appears in yellow. Bright shades of red, yellow and blue are used in the background of this Hindi movie poster to draw the viewer’s attention.
The soundtrack album of Mohabbat Zindagi Hai was composed by O. P. Nayyar and had some memorable songs such as “Tumhari Mulaqat Se,” “Na Jane Kyun Hamare Dil” and “Yeh Purnoor Chehra” sung by Mohammed Rafi.
