Bollywood action movie poster for sale: Khoon Kharaba (1980).
Featured here is an actual surviving original vintage Bollywood poster of the 1980 Hindi film directed by Deepak Bahry that starred Vinod Mehra and Bindiya Goswami in lead roles.
Produced by S.N. Jain and released under the Trishul banner, Khoon Khraba (1980) also starred Vikram, Amjad Khan, Nandita Thakur, Helen, Paintal, Pradeep Kumar, Om Shivpuri, Shashi Puri, Bhagwan Dada, Dinesh Hingoo, Sunder, Tun Tun, Birbal and Viju Khote in supporting roles.
Khoon Khraba (1980) told the story of a prisoner called Raju (Vinod Mehra) who is released from prison before completing his full sentence on account of good behavior. Desiring to leave his sullied reputation behind, he leaves his city for Bombay along with his unrelated sister Zubeida (Nandita Thakur). In the train, Raju helps an old man called Nawab Saab (Pradeep Kumar) who takes an instant liking to the duo. As the principal of Little Flowers school, Nawab Saab offers Raju the job of the school’s bus driver, which he accepts. He also insists that Raju and Zubeida live in his home rent-free. Unknown to them, Zubeida is actually Nawab Saab’s long lost daughter. In Bombay, Raju meets a rich girl, Priya (Bindiya Goswami) and the two fall in love with each other. All seems to be going well for Raju until a death row inmate called Rana (Amjad Khan) breaks out of prison. Erstwhile partners in crime, Raju severed ties with Rana due to the latter’s violent streak and murderous crimes. Rana now seeks revenge from Raju, as he is the man responsible for putting him behind bars. He assumes a fictitious identity as Anil and goes after Priya, the woman Raju dearly loves. Can Raju stop Rana from destroying his life and will Zubeida reunite with her biological father?
Printed and circulated during the first release of the film (somewhere in 1980), this vintage Bollywood poster was printed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.
This Bollywood action movie poster was originally designed in hand painted oil on canvas format by a leading poster art studio in Bombay called Loombarts. The printed signature of the art studio is seen on the bottom left hand corner of the poster.
A prominent hand painted portrait of lead actor Vinod Mehra holding a pistol is seen at the center. Brilliant highlights, typical of old school hand painted Bollywood posters are seen over his face. Actress Bindiya Goswami is seen in the background alongside. A large close up portrait of actor Amjad Khan appears on the left displaying highlights of green in this Khoon Kharaba poster.
Helen is seen in her typical cabaret dancing avatar at the bottom left, in a still taken from the song “Raat Hone Lagi Hai Jawan” sung by Asha Bhosle. The title of the film appears in yellow, encased in blood splatters, giving away the violent plot.
The soundtrack album of Khoon Khraba (1980) was written and composed by Ravindra Jain. It featured the popular track “Raah Chalti Hai” sung by Mohammed Rafi.
