Western movie posters for sale: Maut Ki Ghati (1987).
Featured here is an original vintage Bollywood movie poster of the old 1987 Hindi film directed by K.S.R. Das that starred Anuradha, Jayamalini, Bheema Raju and Arjun in key roles.
Maut Ki Ghati was a western styled classic action film.
Printed and circulated during the theatrical run of the film in Delhi (somewhere in the early 1990s), this Western movie poster was made for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.
This Maut Ki Ghati poster was originally designed using a mix of both hand drawn illustration as well as photographic collage techniques by a Bollywood poster design studio in Delhi.
Action scenes from the film featuring cowboys and horses are seen in over painted still photos in this old Bollywood poster. The actors are seen wearing cowboy hats and firing pistols. A still photo on the left shows actress Jayamalini seated in a suggestive pose.
Typography used in this western movie poster is a combination of both Devanagari Hindi as well as English. The title of the film is painted in striking orange and yellow, with one of the words appearing in blue. It is set against a rock background, giving away the action genre of the film.
