Amitabh Bachchan film poster for sale: Parwana (1971).
This is an actual surviving rare vintage original Bollywood poster of the 1971 Hindi film that starred the greatest superstar in Indian cinema, Amitabh Bachchan along with Navin Nischol and Yogeeta Bali in key roles.
Directed by Jyoti Swaroop, Parwana was a psychological thriller that also starred Om Prakash, Lalita Pawar, Asit Sen and Helen in supporting roles. Shatrughan Sinha made a special appearance in the film.
Amitabh Bachchan’s fourth film release as an actor, Parwana marked his first ever appearance in a negative role, making this vintage Bollywood poster, highly collectible!
Printed and circulated during the debut release of the film in theaters (somewhere in 1971), this Parwana movie poster was printed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.
This Amitabh Bachchan film poster was originally designed in oil on canvas format by one of the greatest Bollywood poster designers of his time, B. Vishwanath. His printed signature is seen on the top right of this old Bollywood poster.
A stunning close up illustration of “One-Man Industry” Amitabh Bachchan is seen prominently in this hand painted Bollywood poster. True to his character of a love-obsessed killer, artist B. Vishwanath has used light shades of green in illustrating his face to bring out a negative, villainous emotion.
Navin Nischol and Yogeeta Bali are seen in a brilliant hand painted depiction in vibrant colors alongside. Actor Shatrughan Sinha who has a cameo in the film is seen in a small photographic still at the bottom.
Lettering used in this Amitabh Bachchan film poster is entirely in English, with a translation of the title appearing in Devanagari Hindi as well. The title of this Parwana movie poster is seen written in a 3D styled font prominently at the bottom. The letters appear in white with blood stains inside, giving away the thriller genre of the film.
The soundtrack album of Parwana was composed by Madan Mohan while lyrics were penned by Kaifi Azmi. One of the songs from the film, “Yun Na Sharma, Phaila De Apni Gori Gori Baahen” was jointly sung by two of the greatest singers of Indian cinema, Kishore Kumar and Mohammed Rafi in their own contrasting signature styles.
