This is an actual surviving original Bollywood poster of the 2011 Hindi romantic comedy directed by Luv Ranjan that starred Kartik Aaryan, Divyendu Sharma, Raayo S. Bakhirta, Nushrat Bharucha, Sonnalli Seygall and Ishita Raj Sharma.

A sleeper hit at the box office, Pyaar Ka Punchnama told the story of three bachelors who’s lives change completely when they get into a relationship. The film offered a male perspective on the toxicity of relationships and the dangers of falling in love.

Pyaar Ka Punchnama marked the debut of Kartik Aaryan as well as director Luv Ranjan. It featured an unforgettable five minute long monologue by Kartik Aaryan, in which he gives vent to his frustrations after getting into his first relationship. The film was key to turning him into a mega star and also made the career of Luv Ranjan, who went on to direct subsequent successful films, making this Pyaar Ka Punchnama poster, highly collectible!

Printed and circulated during the debut of the film in theaters (somewhere in 2011), this Pyaar Ka Punchnama poster was designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.

This is a double-side printed poster, i.e. the same design is printed on the back of the poster inverse. Specially designed to be displayed inside a lightbox in theaters, this double-sided poster has been printed on thick glossy paper.

The six lead actors, i.e. Kartik Aaryan, Divyendu Sharma, Raayo S. Bakhirta, Nushrat Bharucha, Sonnalli Seygall and Ishita Raj Sharma are featured in this original Bollywood poster. The three male actors appear as stringed puppets (Marionettes) being controlled by their respective lovers who are seen holding the strings on the top. A love graffiti is seen on the background wall against which the three are standing.

This Pyaar Ka Punchnama poster uses clever wordplay to take a dig on the most iconic tagline “Come … Fall in love” (from the longest running film in Indian cinema, DDLJ). The subtitle reads, “”Come … Fall Out of Love” on the top. An announcement of the film’s release date at the bottom declares, “Love Breathes Its Last,” giving away the theme of the film.

The songs of Pyaar Ka Punchnama were written by Luv Ranjan. One of the songs, “Ban Gaya Kutta” sung by Mika Singh, became very popular at the time of the film’s release.

The success of the film prompted a sequel, Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 (2015) directed again by Luv Ranjan, starring Kartik Aaryan, Omkar Kapoor, Sunny Singh, Nushrat Bharucha, Ishita Raj Sharma and Sonnalli Seygall. A Telugu remake of Pyaar Ka Punchnama was made in 2014 called Green Signal.
