This is an actual surviving Shah Rukh Khan poster of the 2017 Hindi film that featured the “King of Bollywood” along with supporting stars such as Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Mahira Khan, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Atul Kulkarni, Jaideep Ahlawat and Sunny Leone.
Directed by Rahul Dholakia and produced by Gauri Khan, Raees is believed to be an adaptation of the real life of criminal Abdul Latif.
Raees was among the highest grossing Bollywood films of 2017 and became Bollywood’s highest overseas grosser of 2017. The film also set the record for highest earning Bollywood weekend grosser ever in Singapore, making this Shahrukh Khan movie poster, highly collectible!
Printed and circulated during the first release of the film in 2017, this glossy Raees official poster was originally designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.
A stunning photograph of superstar Shah Rukh Khan in a gangster avatar is seen prominently on this Raees poster. Typography used in the poster is completely in English. The title of the film is seen in a strikingly unique font style. An announcement on the top of this Bollywood poster reads, “Apna Time Shuru” (English translation: “My Time Has Started”).
The soundtrack album for Raees included the cult hit, “Laila Main Laila” from the 1980 film Qurbani. The song featured porn star Sunny Leone in a special appearance.
