Tamasha film poster for sale.
Featured here is an actual surviving original Bollywood poster of the old 2015 romantic Hindi film directed by Imtiaz Ali that starred Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in lead roles.
Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Tamasha (2015) also starred Sushma Seth, Piyush Mishra, Vivek Mushran and Yash Sehgal in supporting roles.
Printed and circulated during the first release of the film in theaters (somewhere in 2015), this original Tamasha film poster was printed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.
Ranbir Kapoor’s character in Tamsha, “Ved Vardhan Sahni” who struggles with mental health issues (borderline personality disorder), received widespread praise from critics. Despite being an average performer at the box office, Tamasha (2015) has amassed a cult following over the years, particularly among the youth.
At the time of the film’s release, it had the lengthiest kissing scene ever on screen, beating the previous record by Raja Hindustani 1996 (Aamir Khan and Karisma Kapoor).
Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are seen in a striking photograph at the center, laughing away. The actress is seen with the back of her hand pressed against her forehead, while her face is illuminated by sunlight.
Superstar Ranbir Kapoor is seen paying a befitting tribute to legendary actor Dev Anand. He appears wearing the evergreen actor’s trademark golf cap, with his hands crossed in a similar style. The homage was well received by audiences, with Ranbir imitating the iconic actor’s voice and mannerisms to perfection.
A blue sky background is seen above, while ocean waves appear lashing the shore at the bottom of this original Tamasha film poster. Typography used in this Bollywood poster is entirely in English. The title appears in a stunning embossed font on the top, while the tagline, “Why always the same story?” appears below it. 27th November, i.e. the release date is seen at the bottom of this Tamasha film poster .
The soundtrack album of the film was composed by legendary music director A. R. Rahman, while lyrics were written by Irshad Kamil. Songs like “Matargashti” sung by Mohit Chauhan and “Agar Tum Saath Ho” sung by Arijit Singh and Alka Yagnik became a rage throughout the nation at the time of the film’s release and are fondly remembered and played till today.
Tamasha was shot in parts in Corsica, France as well as in Tokyo. Due to it’s complicated plot, the film was only moderately successful at the box office.
