This is an actual surviving rare vintage original Bollywood poster of the 1975 dubbed Hindi film directed by C. S. Rao. Originally made in Telugu and later released in Hindi as well as Kannada, Yashoda Krishna featured Baby Sridevi and Baby Rohini as Bala Krishna, while actor Ramakrishna played Lord Krishna.
Yashoda Krishna marked the debut of actress Rohini Molleti. Five years old at the time, she appeared as as a child artist in the film playing the role of Bala Krishna. Actress Jamuna played the role of Yashoda. S. V. Ranga Rao played the role of evil ruler Kamsa, marking his final appearance on screen.
This religious drama was based on the life of Lord Krishna.
Printed and circulated during the first release of the film in theaters (somewhere in 1975), this Yashoda Krishna poster was printed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.
This hand painted movie poster was originally designed in oil on canvas format by noted film poster painter, DR Bhosle. Yashoda is seen disciplining Bala Krishna in this vintage Indian poster. Lord Krishna is seen hand painted in a shade of blue, wearing a peacock feather on his forehead. A simplistic home background is seen in this Bollywood poster.
Lettering used in this poster is entirely in Devanagari Hindi, with the title appearing prominently in red on the top.
