The fourth installment in the Rocky film series, Rocky IV (1985) also starred Dolph Lundgren, Carl Weathers, Talia Shire, Burt Young and Brigitte Nielsen in supporting roles.
The film marked Dolph Lundgren’s Hollywood film debut and Sylvester Stallone’s last film as director until he returned to filmmaking again in 2006. It had a strong Cold War theme and was ahead of it’s time in it’s use of special effects and sporting equipment.
Rocky IV (1985) is considered a classic and was one of the highest grossing films in the Rocky franchise, making this original Rocky 4 poster, highly collectible!
Printed and circulated in India during the local release run of the film (somewhere in the late 1980s), this Sylvester Stallone poster was originally intended for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.

Rocky IV (1985) is part of a highly successful franchise comprising three prequels and two sequels: Rocky (1976), Rocky II (1979), Rocky III (1982), Rocky V (1990) and Rocky Balboa (2006).
One of the dialogues from the film, “Adrian!” has become instantly relatable to Sylvester Stallone.
As per media reports, Sylvester Stallone and Dolph Lundgren exchanged real punches in the iconic boxing match scene in the film, which led to Stallone being admitted to intensive care during the filming of Rocky IV (1985). Theme songs from the film, i.e. “Burning Heart” and “Living in America” became very popular at the time of the release of Rocky IV.
