Featured here is an original Bollywood poster of the blockbuster 1993 Hindi psychological drama produced and directed by the “King of Bollywood romance” Yash Chopra that starred the “Baadshah of Bollywood” Shah Rukh Khan in a negative role along with Sunny Deol and Juhi Chawla in lead roles.
Produced under the prestigious Yash Raj Films banner, Darr (1993) also starred Annu Kapoor, Tanvi Azmi, Anupam Kher, Dalip Tahil, Anupam Kher, Piloo Wadia and Vikas Anand in supporting roles.
Darr (1993) told the story of an obsessive lover called Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan) who is madly in love with his classmate Kiran (Juhi Chawla). Things take a turn for the worse when she gets married to her boyfriend, Indian Naval officer Sunil (Sunny Deol). He begins to stalk her and devises a plan to eliminate her husband in order to be with her.
The film marked a major milestone in superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s career, with his character of an obsessive psychotic lover winning critical acclaim. His stammering rendition of “Kiran” became a rage throughout the nation and remains forever etched in Bollywood cinema’s hall of fame. Actress Juhi Chawla is seen in a portrait at the center in violet, giving away the love triangle plot of the film. The two actors are seen again in an action-packed chase scene at the bottom.
