Apradh movie poster for sale.

Featured here is an actual surviving vintage Bollywood poster of the 1972 classic action thriller produced and directed by Feroz Khan that starred him in the lead role opposite Mumtaz.

Produced and distributed under the actor’s banner F.K. International, Apradh (1972) also starred Prem Chopra, Fariyal, Helen, Iftekhar, Tun Tun, M.B. Shetty, Polson and Hercules in supporting roles.

Feroz Khan was often referred to as the “Clint Eastwood of the East” and the “Steve McQueen of India.” Apradh was Feroz Khan’s debut as a producer and a director and was the first Indian movie to depict car racing in Germany, making this Apradh movie poster, highly collectible!

Apradh (1972) is famous for the Indian funk-rock song composed by Kalyanji Anandji and sung by Asha Bhosle, “Ae Naujawan Hai Sab Hai Sub Kuchh Yahan.” This song is believed to be sampled in the Grammy award winning hit released by The Black Eyed Peas in 2005, “Don’t Phunk with My Heart.”

Printed and circulated a few years after the first release run of the film (somewhere in the 1970s), this Apradh movie poster was designed for publicity of the film in northern India but never ended up being used.

Originally designed in hand painted oil on canvas format by an art studio in Delhi, this vintage Bollywood poster features overpainted artwork.

Feroz Khan is seen kissing actress Mumtaz on her cheek at the center of this old Bollywood poster. A hand drawn illustration depicting the Grand Prix race is seen in the background above them. The use of bright shades of yellow, red and blue give this retro hand drawn Bollywood poster a very catchy appearance.

Typography used in this vintage Apradh movie poster is a mix of English as well as Devenagari Hindi. The main title of the film is seen in a striking red font with a yellow border.

The soundtrack album of Apradh (1972) was a hit upon the film’s release. Music composers Kalyanji Anandji received international recognition and were awarded the BMI Award for their original tune which was sampled in the song, “Don’t Phunk with My Heart.”
